AI Playground is a turnkey 10-week AI and app-building program for elementary students, offered in partnership with Baroody Camps. Your PTA books a room and a time slot. We do everything else — and in Week 10, parents walk into your building to install the app their kid made.

No cost to the school or PTA
Parents register and pay tuition; we handle billing, refunds, and rosters. Need-based scholarships mean no student is turned away over cost.
Insured, background-checked instructors
Every instructor passes a background check before entering a classroom. Certificate of insurance and compliance documentation available on request.
We bring the devices
Laptops, the closed classroom AI sandbox, and all materials arrive with us. Your school provides a classroom and Wi-Fi — that's it.
Small, manageable cohorts
Runs with as few as 8 students, capped at 12 per cohort. One background-checked lead instructor in the room at all times.
Turnkey scheduling
One weekly session over a 10-week season, timed to your existing after-school pickup rhythms. We coordinate directly with your enrichment calendar.
Week 10 is a family showcase
Parents come into your building to install the app their kid built. It's the kind of event that fills the next season's roster on its own.

Is this safe? What do the kids actually do with AI?
Every project starts on paper. K–3 students never type into an AI — the instructor drives on a projected screen. Grades 4–6 use a locked-down classroom sandbox where the AI can only see that student's own project: no open internet, no chat history, no accounts in any child's name. Screen time is capped and published (25 minutes per session for K–3, 50 for grades 4–6). Our privacy practices are written for COPPA and FERPA from day one.
What does it cost families?
$229 for the 10-week season — about $23 a class, in line with other Fairfax-area enrichment programs. 10% sibling discount, and need-based scholarships so cost never excludes a student.
What does the PTA have to do?
Pick a day, book a room, and include us in your enrichment flyer. We handle registration, payment, rosters, reminders, and refunds. Your enrichment chair's total workload is roughly one email thread.
